Stanwood, WA — On December 12, 2023, newly formed VFW Post 12228, Stanwood, WA was instituted. VFW Dept of WA Commander Craig Dougherty presided over the ceremony. After years in the making, Stanwood, WA now has their VFW back. Welcome Comrades.
In attendance was the National Sr. Vice CDR of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Commander of American Legion District 2, VFW District 15 CDR, VFW Dept. of WA Aux President, and members and officers of several other Veteran Service Organizations.
